About
About Georgia HVAC Repair
Georgia HVAC Repair is a statewide referral service that connects Georgia homeowners, landlords, and property managers with participating independent HVAC contractors. We are not an HVAC contractor.
What we do
We do two things. First, we publish practical HVAC information for Georgia: what to check before calling, what common repairs involve, what AC repair typically costs, how state licensing works, and what's different about each city we cover. Every statistic on the site links to its source.
Second, we provide a phone number. When you call it, your call is routed to a participating independent HVAC contractor who serves your area, if one is available.
What we don't do
- We don't employ technicians, hold a conditioned air contractor license, own vans or equipment, or operate offices.
- We don't diagnose, price, or perform any HVAC work.
- We don't guarantee that an HVAC contractor is available in every location, at every hour, or for every type of job.
- We don't verify, license, insure, or supervise participating HVAC contractors. Each one is an independent business responsible for its own work, license, and insurance.
- We don't publish reviews, ratings, or project photos we can't verify. Images on this site are illustrative, not photos of completed jobs.
How referrals work
- You call (770) 679-7684 and describe where the property is and what the problem is.
- Your call is routed to a participating independent HVAC contractor who covers your area, when one is available. Availability depends on your ZIP code, the type of job, and how busy HVAC contractors are.
- You deal with that HVAC contractor directly. They diagnose the system, give you a price, and perform any work you agree to, under their own business name, license, and insurance. You're under no obligation to hire them.
Referral and advertising disclosure
Georgia HVAC Repair may receive compensation for referrals, from participating HVAC contractors or from the network that routes calls to them. That's how this site is funded. We don't charge callers for the referral, and compensation doesn't change the information we publish.
Before you hire any HVAC contractor
Whether you find a contractor through us or anywhere else:
- Check the license. Georgia requires HVAC contractors to hold a Conditioned Air Contractor license from the State Construction Industry Licensing Board, overseen by the Georgia Secretary of State. Class I licenses cover systems up to 175,000 BTU heating and 60,000 BTU cooling; Class II is unrestricted. Look up a license on the Secretary of State's license verification site.
- Ask about insurance and get the price in writing before work starts.
- Ask about the diagnostic fee and whether it's credited toward the repair.
- Ask whether the job needs a permit, and who pulls it.
- Get the warranty on parts and labor in writing.
Where we cover
Calls are accepted from anywhere in Georgia. We publish detailed local pages for: Marietta, Macon, Athens, Warner Robins, Alpharetta, Valdosta. More cities are being added.
